District Planning Council
The District Planning Council is dedicated to increased parental and community involvement in the decision making process in our schools as New York State's New Compact for Learning suggests. This group, comprised of the Superintendent, a Board of Education member, a building administrator, three teachers, three parents, community members and a CHHS student, meets approximately three times a year to share school initiatives, coordinate efforts, and to discuss educational issues that directly impact student performance and will, in turn, enhance the District's standards of excellence for all students. The District Planning Council is also the body that helps the Building Planning Councils address and resolve any conflicts that have occurred in the decision-making process.

We encourage all parents and community residents to follow the work of the District and Building Planning Councils by reading the PTA/PTSA Newsletters and REFLECTIONS.
