School News Updates Delayed openings or the closing of schools due to inclement weather or other emergencies will be broadcast over station WFAS (1230 AM), WLNA (1420 AM), and WHUD (100.7 FM), and Channel 12 News starting at 6 a.m. or as soon as the decision is made. In addition, parents are notified of school delays, early dismissals and closings through a phone call and e-mail, if provided to the district, from our Connect-Ed phone system. This information is also available on our district website (www.croton-harmonschools.org), cable station, and the message on our school phones or view www.cancellations.com on the web. When schools are closed in Croton, no district students will be transported to private, parochial or BOCES schools. However, in the event of delayed openings, all district buses will start their pick-ups accordingly. Transportation will be provided should there be an emergency dismissal for any reason. Students will not be dismissed without attention to their safely getting home. It is essential that parents provide the district with the name and number of a person who can receive the student in the event the parent is not at home. This information should be updated each year on the Connect-Ed Message form that the district sends home. In the event that fewer than three snow/emergency days are used, school will not be in session as follows: |
